Precise, easy to use, and produces the smallest spot size of any laser micromanipulators in the market today!
The UniMax® is a patented mirror-based system- a completely new kind of Micromanipulator. It is precise, easy to use, and produces the smallest spot size of any laser micromanipulators in the market today, thus allowing surgeons to use greater precision while increasing the assurance of patient safety. Its unique design avoids inherent problems of lens-based designs such as chromatic aberration, shallow depth of focus, and reduced power transmittance. The UniMax® is now available with an extended working distance from 225 mm to 500 mm.

Mirrors vs. Lenses:
Conventional laser micromanipulators use multiple crystalline lenses to focus both the aiming and the treatment laser beams. With these lens-based systems, beam concentricity and small spot size– but not necessarily exact spot size coincidence– can generally be obtained at a specific working distance with the use of expensive accessory optics.
However, across the entire 225 to 500 mm microscope-to-tissue range of typical surgical working distances, the basic physics of lens-based systems creates inescapable problems of chromatic aberration, beam deflection, shallow depth of focus, and reduced power transmittance.
UniMax® Micromanipulator differs from all lens-based systems.
It provides an absolute precision of spot coincidence at any working distance across the 225 – 500 mm range.
It significantly reduces spot size and increases power transmittance.
It produces these results without requiring additional optics.
Easy Installation:
The UniMax® Micromanipulator can be adapted to most brands and models of laser systems, operating microscopes and colposcopes. With the appropriate adapters, the UniMax® can be installed and operational in less than a minute.
